There is a new video chat loaded of the New Year and I share by intentions of cleaning and purging. Before I look ahead too far to the warmer spring days of potentially planting some dye plants and thinking of steaming pots of natural dye I wanted to look at what I had made the past year that has not moved on.
I naturally dyed some yarn to make some surprise yarn balls with some wee little ghosts inside and they have not sold so I decided this weekend to rewind these and remove the ghosts to save for the fall and see if anyone would be interested in just the yarn.
Available in the shop ready to ship:
- Bulky Yarn Bee commercial yarn dyed with osage orange
- Bulky Yarn Bee commercial yarn dyed with walnut
- Missouri raised and hand spun Babydoll Southdown wool dyed with walnut
- Missouri raised and hand spun Babydoll Southdown wool dyed with osage orange
- Fingerlakes American wool dyed with avocado
I wound these into center pull balls/cakes and they are ready to cast on. I also found in my stash some cotton muslin to make into some wraps for each one. Rewind, reuse, redo!
This winter I will be doing some small batch natural dye work and experiments with cotton gift bags that will come and go in the shop. Today is the Chiefs game which means guacamole so there will be some pink dye in the works this weekend!
